Nervous Engagement Banquet

Today is a great day. Why i say that? Because there are many newly wed are holding the engagement ceremony. At about six o'clock in the morning, all my family wake up and preparing the engagement ceremony for my elder sister. Just in a few minutes, the visagiste/ make-up artist and photographer are coming and some relatives also coming in short time. After my elder sister is dressed well, the groom's family are coming. This situation seems serious and I just want to escape from it. How serious scene it was!
As the engagement ceremony begin, all of us hold our breathe and waiting its end. After that, we are going to the restaurant for the engagement banquet and it is my first time to receive so many red envelopes. We eat and drink in the harmony atmosphere.
Time goes by~ It's time to toast and change another dress. After that, we gather up some dishes of food, bottles of wine and beverages. It is a busy, nervous , tired but a happy day.

My hometown Changhwa compare to City Taipei

Almost everyone had been to go outside their hometown to study, work, take a trip… etc. In reality, although Taiwan was located Tropic of Cancer, there is still something different between country and city. The following are some differences including weather& surrounding, transportation and economy between my hometown Changhwa country compare to city Taipei.
My home town is Chuangwha and perhaps some of people would notice this name because of its famous product “meat ball.” Recently, pineapple cake is voted as Taipei’s famous food. The weather of Chuanghwa is warm and hot now and then; therefore, when I went home I usually have to wear with the coat to avoid from being tanned. On the contrary, Taipei’s weather is usually hot or humid accordingly it caused Hypersensitivity easily and we usually have to bring an umbrella because of the changeable weather.

The transportation of Changhwa, walking slowly or riding bike fooling around is not an odd thing and it is just like they don’t need to hurry in doing anything. At first time to take the bus in my hometown, I felt so inconvenient and very sad because I need to wait for thirty minutes and then to transit it to the train. To compare to Taipei, you can take the bus, train, MRT, High Speed Rail Train even air plane as soon as possible and some of them are coming in short minutes. I remembered that when my fist time to go to Taipei, I walked slowly and waited for the green light but facing a great deal of motorcycles and cars were passing through the road around me. During that moment, I was scared about it and every rider seek to ride fast than each other. That situation was just as they eager to “chasing time.”

The economy issue is usually talked nowadays. As live in Taipei, the rate of apartment is higher than nine thousand dollars a month and its parking rent is expensive. Basically, in Taipei if you eat outside, you almost had to pay more than two hundred dollars a day. Relatively, the apartment’s rate in Changhwa just about five thousand dollars one month and three meals a day only about one hundred and fifty dollars.

Frankly to say, I would like to live in my hometown Changhwa not only the prices is much cheaper than Taipei, but higher air-pollution even if Taipei’s transportation is very convenient and I enjoy living a slow-paced life. In short, live in Changhwa, you don’t need to find a park because the green grasslands are around you. If you want to experience the rural life, you can enjoy it in Changhwa.
